Summary and Qualifications
Summary of Position
This position provides executive support to the Lead Executive Pastor and the Lead Pastor of Strategic Initiatives. This position also serves as the representative and procedural liaison between the Steering Team and Directional Elders. The executive assistant multiplies the executive pastors' effectiveness by managing priorities, protecting time, anticipating needs, and ensuring clarity, trust, and excellence in execution.
Qualifications and Requirements
Administrative gifting, strong organizational skills, and detail-oriented
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Proven track record of using discretion in handling personal and/or confidential information
Ability to maintain and demonstrate a servant's heart and spiritual maturity
Ability to multi-task numerous projects with clarity, flexibility, and focus while meeting deadlines
Experience with planning and executing a variety of meetings (size/kind/duration)
Comfortable interacting with high-level executives
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Proactive and solutions-oriented
Above average proficiency with Google Workspace, Apple products, & Microsoft Office
A member of the Summit Church or willing & able to become a member

Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for the Lead Executive Pastor and the Lead Pastor of Strategic Initiatives
Daily support: phone, email, managing calendars/scheduling meetings, note-taking, project management
Protect the Executives' time by understanding their priorities, filtering requests and anticipating needs
Handle financial responsibilities such as: managing budgets, credit card reconciliations, expense reports, reimbursements and paying invoices
Managing everyday responsibilities, including periodically helping in everyday errands
Provide assistance with travel and larger projects as needed
Assist in caring for staff (being aware of staff needs, updates, family changes)
Serve as the representative and procedural liaison between the Steering Team and Directional Elders
Serve as a project manager for the Steering Team (ST) and follow up with ST members to make sure things are accomplished in a timely manner. Is able to communicate with the Executive Pastor about what needs to be followed up.
Support the Directional Elders in administrative tasks.
Serve as a project manager for executive level projects for the church.
Support in executing meetings from one on ones to groups ranging from 5 to 25 in attendance
Help the Executive Pastor to be fully prepared before the meetings and to develop an action plan out of meetings.
Assist with various projects and miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Church Clerk: administrator of tasks for the Board of Trustees.
Churchwide Events
The hours for this position are expected to be 40 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.
Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
