Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a bilingual front desk Patient Coordinator for a busy Gentry Community Clinic Primary & Urgent Care Clinic located in Gentry, AR. The Patient Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients within the Clinic, providing a cordial greeting and ensuring the patient's needs are met in an effective, positive way. Must have strong computer skills, excellent communication, organizational ability, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This position is full-time, in-person, paid hourly, and eligible for full benefits. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Provides exceptional customer service during all aspects of a patient visit to Community Clinic.
Ensures patient information is entered into the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and updated regularly for all patients.
Ensures patient payments are collected, posted correctly to accounts and collections are balanced daily.
Schedules patient appointments
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds required.
Customer service experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office is preferred.
Medical terminology and insurance verification experience preferred.
