Role Overview
The Assistant Branch Manager directs the workflow of Customer Service Representatives and assists with the overall duties and responsibilities of the branch. You will assist the Branch Manager in assessing branch needs and conduct meetings with your staff. You will work with leadership to train, develop, and mentor Customer Service Representatives to be proficient and accurate in their work.

This position will serve at the Portage, Indiana, BMV Branch Office. Branch hours are:

Sunday: Closed

Monday: Closed

Wednesday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320 but may be commensurate with training and experience.

The essential functions of this role are:

Oversee the branch’s daily operations.

Conduct meetings with branch staff.

Assist leadership with scheduling for the branch.

Assist with the daily opening and closing of the branch.

Complete weekly reports.

Complete daily records for all balances and deposits.

Aid leadership in the resolution of escalated customer complaints.

Partner with Branch Manager and HR staff to ensure training, development, evaluation, and discipline is completed in accordance with policy.

Monitor BMV inventory and office supplies.

What You'll Need for Success
Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:

Ability to communicate exceptionally with all variety of employees and customers.

Experience with writing reports and presenting.

A high level of critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot.

A drive to assist with the training and development of BMV employees.

Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

A degree is not required. However, a High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE) and at least two (2) years of supervisory experience applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
