Medical Practice Patient Representative - Oncology - Norwalk, CT - Full time - Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Summary
Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.
Responsibilities
Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and ensures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system.
Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Maintains and models the Organization values.
Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
Other Information
Ability to travel between practices as needed.
Education Required
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
1 year customer related experience required
Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience
Salary Range
$18.13 - $34.50 Hourly
