Position Summary
The Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at Daniels College of Business, University of Denver, seeks industry professionals to teach courses during the 2026‑2027 academic year. Selected candidates will teach one course per quarter in the Fall (Sept‑Nov), Winter (Jan‑Mar), and Spring (Apr‑Jun) terms. Courses include two sections of HOSP 2401: The Business of Hotel Operations and one section of HOSP 2402: Revenue Optimization Techniques.
Essential Functions
Teach twice a week, deliver lectures, and hold office hours.
Assign, grade, and provide feedback on papers and exams.
Assist students with assignments and course‑related inquiries.
Contribute to the quarter system and collaborate with faculty and staff.
Compensation
Industry professionals are compensated at a rate of $1,290.00 per credit hour. Each class counts for four credit hours, resulting in $5,160 per course. The actual salary may vary based on qualifications and departmental budget.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Previous teaching experience at the university level.
Industry experience directly related to the assigned coursework.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in a related field.
College‑level teaching experience.
