Staff Geologist / Staff Environmental Scientist
Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of Henderson, Nevada seeks an organized full‑time Staff Geologist / Environmental Scientist to support a wide variety of environmental projects in the historic Water Street District of Henderson. Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a Senior Geologist, you will provide support on a range of environmental projects, including emergency response, Phase I environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater characterization, air sampling, remediation system operation and maintenance, system start‑ups, shutdowns, and upgrades, equipment troubleshooting and repair, lithologic logging, well construction monitoring, water and wastewater treatment facility monitoring, and water resources activities. You will conduct field work to drive project execution, ensure health and safety procedures are followed, interact with local clientele and contractors, manage administrative responsibilities, and prepare daily reports for Senior Geologists/Scientists. You must ensure clients are satisfied and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science

Zero to four years of applicable work experience (e.g., consulting, environmental)

Ability to work outdoors during summer months, traverse moderate terrain, and lift up to 50 pounds

Technical writing competency and strong computer skills

Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills

Self‑starter, quick learner, and effective communication skills

Ability to travel

Ability to work individually and as part of a team

GIS experience a plus

Work Schedule
This full‑time position typically works Monday through Friday with moderate travel, including occasional overnight trips. Less frequent weekend work may be required. Extended deployments for emergency response up to two to three weeks are possible.
