Overview
The ARC of the Greater Hudson Valley is seeking Creative Programming & Integration Specialists in Sullivan County.
Responsibilities
Research and implement meaningful, person-centered community integration opportunities tailored to individual interests and goals.
Develop and coordinate inclusive large-scale special events that encourage participation from both program sites and the broader community.
Lead the development of a Day Habilitation newsletter, ensuring representation of all three counties and highlighting achievements, success stories, and creative contributions of individuals.
Carry out various creative activities for people supported.
Train DSPs on new and innovative creative activities.
Qualifications
Valid driver license with at least one year of driving experience.
Ability to travel between sites in the three counties.
3+ years of experience working with people with disabilities (or advanced education in lieu of experience).
Basic English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and arithmetic knowledge sufficient to perform job duties.
Ability to negotiate, exercise leadership, work with a diverse population, teach new skills, serve individuals, and collaborate as a team member.
Ability to understand, interpret, convey, and implement instructions and directions.
Compensation & Benefits
Full-time, 40 hours a week; $18.25 per hour. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, and a 401(K) retirement plan.
