About the Role
We are seeking a
Senior Officer, Prospect Management
to provide oversight of prospect development, assignment, and other prospect management responsibilities in support of Action Against Hunger’s fundraising strategy.
As a key member of the
Fundraising Systems unit within the External Relations team , this role provides critical research and portfolio management support for fundraising initiatives. With the team currently in an investment phase and managing a growing volume of new acquisitions and leads, this position will play an important role in identifying, developing, and assigning prospects to help build and strengthen major gift portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Provide oversight of prospect development, assignment, and related prospect management activities across the full portfolio of private donors
Coordinate and maintain a team-wide prospect management system in Salesforce
Lead bi‑monthly portfolio reviews to assess strategy, confirm solicitation activity, and ensure healthy pipeline velocity
Partner with leadership to optimize portfolios by identifying inactive or low‑capacity donors and refocusing efforts on high‑impact opportunities
Monitor giving plan activity and prospect movement through the pipeline to support strong portfolio performance
Research, Qualification & Data Integrity
Monitor and review prospect qualification requests and assign qualification plans based on accepted research referrals
Review meeting interactions entered in Salesforce to ensure data integrity and consistent documentation
Proactively identify and qualify high‑potential prospects from mid‑level pipelines and external sources
Develop research profiles and recommendations for portfolio assignment
Create reports and provide analytics support related to prospect management and research functions
Team Support & Process Improvement
Support fundraisers on prospect management policy and Salesforce database processes
Serve as a key internal resource on prospect research and management best practices
Contribute to broader fundraising priorities and other duties as needed across the External Relations team
Who We’re Looking For
You are a thoughtful and detail‑oriented prospect management professional who brings strong research capability, sound judgment, and an ability to work effectively across teams. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, handling sensitive information with discretion, and translating prospect data into clear, actionable fundraising support.
3–5 years of experience in prospect management
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Demonstrated experience using prospect research tools such as
iWave, DonorSearch, and LexisNexis
Experience using
Salesforce CRM
