Responsibilities
Manage procurement activities for goods and services using a variety of methods
Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and oversee the process through contract award
Perform requests for bid/quotes and issue purchase orders as applicable
Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement policies and procedures
Key Qualifications
Relevant experience may substitute for education
Strong experience procuring commodities and complex services
Ability to develop detailed bid specifications and requests for proposals (RFPs)
Knowledge of governmental procurement and OMB standards
Experience with purchase order software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
3 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in public procurement or local government
Familiarity with RFP, RFQ, and IFB processes
Experience handling requisitions and purchase orders
