Position Highlights:
Position: Lead Environmental Services Technician
Location: Elmhurst Hospital - Elmhurst, IL
Full Time: 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:30pm - 7:30am, Rotating Weekends and Holidays
Responsibilities:
Work independently with minimal supervision, performing support duties for the management team.
Act as a resource person for staff and coordinate services with other departments to minimize patient, staff and visitor disruptions.
Assist and ensure that housekeeping activities are followed for housekeeping, linen, discharge and projects.
Distribute and receive equipment and supplies for staff use during shift times (e.g., pagers, keys, phones).
Assist in adjusting schedules and assignments to meet staffing and patient needs.
Communicate continuously with the management team on identified opportunities, concerns, staffing levels, etc.
Assist in follow‑up and hands‑on training for staff.
Maintain customer‑service goals and retention level set by the hospital.
Investigate and resolve complaints and concerns from patients, visitors, physicians, and subordinates (requiring discretion and confidentiality).
Communicate and follow‑up on service requests.
Perform assigned duties of the Housekeeper or Linen Aide in case of staffing shortages, high volumes or similar situations.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred skills: Ability to read and exchange information with patients and others and/or basic arithmetic.
