Role Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in driving operational excellence by developing, optimizing, and sustaining efficient, safe, and high‑quality manufacturing processes. This position partners closely with production, quality, and design engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and support the successful launch of new products. Through data‑driven analysis, project leadership, and hands‑on collaboration on the manufacturing floor, this role directly impacts product quality, cost, and on‑time delivery.
Improve manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, capacity, and safety
Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Troubleshoot and resolve production and quality issues cross‑functionally
Support cost analysis, production planning, and labor/material estimates
Develop manufacturing methods with design engineering for new products
Lead capital projects from concept through completion (scope, schedule, budget)
Support equipment selection, justification, and implementation
Create concept drawings for new or improved equipment
Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and risk assessments
Develop and maintain SOPs, process flows, and work instructions
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Decision Making
Determine optimal manufacturing processes while considering efficiency, quality, cost, and scalability.
Select appropriate equipment and machinery for each manufacturing process by evaluating capabilities, compatibility with existing systems, cost-effectiveness, and future expansion needs.
Identify root causes of production issues and implement timely corrective actions based on analysis of process data, experimentation, and collaboration with other departments.
Prioritize continuous improvement projects in efficiency, quality, and safety.
Accurately estimate project budgets to stay within 5% of projected budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
5–8 years of progressively responsible manufacturing engineering experience
Strong background in process improvement and operational excellence
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fabrication
CAD and Microsoft Office proficiency
Proven project management and cross‑functional leadership skills
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Plastic tooling experience is a plus

Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $95,000–$120,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate of what Hoshizaki America expects to pay for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
