University Admissions Counselor – Traditional Ground Campus – Grand Canyon University. Starting salary is $58,656 per year with a tenure-based compensation plan that allows earning potential to increase upon the completion of each year-long recruitment cycle.

You will help guide applicants from initial contact through their first weeks on campus, and you will be involved locally to support Grand Canyon University students’ success.
As a University Admissions Counselor, you will be involved in your territory by hosting and implementing event/activity plans to raise awareness of our academic programs and campus community, generate inquiries, and counsel prospective students and families through the admissions process.
Responsibilities
Host and implement event/activity plans for your territory to build awareness and drive inquiry generation across multiple communication channels (in-person, phone, email, text, Zoom).
Engage with high school students, teachers, and staff in local school districts; participate in fairs, school visits, presentations, community/campus events, and campus visits.
Represent Grand Canyon University in your territory and promote the university’s transformation and community presence.
Work independently with ambitious targets; guide prospective students and families through the admissions process toward a successful campus experience.
Requirements / Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree. No delinquency or default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in rehabilitation, the report must reflect current, non-delinquent payments.
Outstanding time management and organization skills; ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while traveling.
Clear communication and engaging presentation skills; ability to communicate in person, in writing, and on the phone; strong listening skills.
Self-motivation and drive to succeed; willingness to take ownership and go above and beyond.
High emotional intelligence; ability to coach a diverse range of students and families and develop relationships with school districts.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, flexible schedule, and willingness to travel; clean driving record; some events may require evening/weekend availability; travel to Phoenix 1–3 times per month for non-locals.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Attended Grand Canyon University on campus and as an alumnus/a; ability to share experiences with prospective students.
Relevant industry-related professional experience.
