
Process Engineer

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing process engineering support to the Louisville, Ky manufacturing plant. This includes process development and scale up, capital project implementation, process improvement and optimization, process control optimization, and developing and implementing procedures.
Provides process engineering support for the day-to-day operations of manufacturing operations.
Maintain policies and procedures required to maintain, strengthen, and support ISO and EHS programs.
Assist in investigations and corrective actions for process and safety incident investigations. Perform root cause analysis and initiate corrective actions as required.
Provides leadership for establishing and maintaining a safe work environment. Proactively addresses and corrects all unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Manage the design, specification, and installation, of small to medium process capital projects as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in metal powder, atomization, milling, pigments, or similar process industries preferred.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, technical skills, and a professional demeanor.
Familiarity with Microsoft Software Suite
Experience or certification with lean six sigma
Excellent analytical and math skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
