Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Urology Associates of Central Missouri, 105 Keene Street, Columbia, MO 65201

Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Urology Associates of Central Missouri is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in providing specialized care for individuals with urological diagnoses.

Urology Associates of Central Missouri is the most comprehensive private urology practice in central Missouri. We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! Our goal is to provide the highest level of care, utilizing the latest clinically proven techniques to diagnose and treat a wide variety of urological disorders. Scope

Under direct supervision, physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e., exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Deliver general nursing care under the supervision or collaboration of practice physicians.

Responsibilities

Support patient care related to prevention, screening, and treatment of men’s health conditions.

Serve as a direct caregiver, healthcare consultant, and patient educator.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.

Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

Record and report patient conditions and reactions to treatments.

Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited school for practical nursing. This position is entry level and requires 1–3 years experience as a practical nurse. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Current LPN state license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in practicing state. Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Physical Demands:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
