Janitorial Associate
Craig Industries, Inc. – Building Materials Manufacturer

Craig Industries, Inc., a growing manufacturer in the building materials industry, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitorial Associate to support facility cleanliness and safety across all company buildings. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the facility, including warehouse, production areas, docks, restrooms, and common areas. This position requires adherence to company safety procedures and attendance policies.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
General Cleaning & Facility Maintenance

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum warehouse and facility floors

Operate floor-cleaning equipment (auto scrubbers, buffers)

Remove trash, scrap, cardboard, and debris throughout the facility

Empty totes and scrap containers

Use trash compactor safely and properly

Clean around building exterior areas and docks

Dust shelves, equipment, and high surfaces

Clean spills promptly (including oil or chemical spills if properly trained)

Restroom & Breakroom Sanitation

Clean and sanitize restrooms

Refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper

Sanitize breakroom tables, counters, and appliances

Stock soda and other designated supplies

Safety & Compliance

Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines

Use proper PPE (gloves, goggles, safety shoes)

Report hazards such as wet floors, damaged shelving, or leaks

Ensure walkways and emergency exits remain clear

Facility Support

Perform minor maintenance tasks (changing light bulbs, replacing filters)

Assist with warehouse setup or cleanup for shipments

Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies

Requirements
Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to push or pull wheeled carts up to 250 lbs

Ability to bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, and climb stairs

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently

Good time management skills

Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures

Reliable and punctual attendance

The successful candidate must work well in a team environment, be dependable, organized, motivated, and able to work efficiently under pressure.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, first shift, in-person

Compensation & Benefits: Hourly base pay plus health, dental, vision, 401(k), and additional benefits
