About The Position
Are you a Radiologic Technologist who is enthusiastic about serving their community? Join our Department of Correctional Health Services! Make a difference in patients' lives within Maricopa County's correctional facilities by providing medically necessary, evidence-based integrated health care to patients going through the judicial system.

You will work in diagnostic radiology and operate with special procedure equipment. You will also create CDs of digital images, preserve the operability of digital x‑ray equipment, and maintain the cleanliness of radiology equipment and work area.

We Require

Two years of radiology experience

Completion of a Radiologic Technologist training program

Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Current license by the Arizona Medical Radiology Technology Board of Examiners as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)

High School diploma or GED

Job Contributions

Administers general diagnostic radiographs

Determines the diagnostic quality of completed radiographs

Maintains appropriate documentation and records

Helps coordinate the completion of radiographs for specialty clinics

Communicates x‑ray concerns to the provider or Nurse Manager

Restocks radiographic supplies and monitors monthly expenses

Coordinates equipment services and repairs

Assists with drafting and updating the Radiology Department Policies and Procedures

Working Conditions

Work is performed inside a jail and requires standing, walking, and bending for extended periods of time throughout the work shift

High volume of work, communication with a culturally diverse patient population, and adaptation to frequent changes, interruptions, and unscheduled tasks

Day or night shift work, which may include weekends and holidays

Travel or floating to various clinical locations within a 5‑mile radius

Must be able to respond to emergencies and maintain CPR certification

Must pass a fingerprint background check and maintain MCSO jail access
