Responsibilities
Provides day‑to‑day supervision to maximize efficiency, quality, and productivity. Supervises specimen preparation, cutting, staining, and special test performance by histotechnologists. Monitors specimen handling and identification. Coordinates with pathologists regarding slide and stain quality, implementing timely corrective action when necessary. Documents all steps taken to resolve issues. Ensures coverage for calls is assured and communicated to the pathologist and maintains turnaround time goals.
Qualifications
High School Certificate, GED, or equivalent work experience
Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license
Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
Laboratory and supervisory experience
TN – Clinical Laboratory Technologist or SU – Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license required
ASCP certification preferred
Minimum required experience: 5 years
Estimated pay range: $36.16 - $47.01 per hour depending on experience.
