Overview
Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. Full‑time, 8‑hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
Process surgical instrumentation and supplies through the sterilization cycle using appropriate personal protective equipment.
Maintain instruments in a clean, working condition and store them according to the instrument directory.
Perform and interpret data from daily sterilizer biological monitoring and associated documentation.
Assist in the training and orientation of new staff.
Demonstrate proficiency in required competencies.
Required Qualifications
National Certified Registered Central Service Technician – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within one year of hire.
Sterile processing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or training in high‑level disinfection, decontamination, processing, sterilization, quality control, and flexible scope reprocessing.
Pay Range
$24.00 – $33.73 per hour; shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may be available.
