You not only optimize your own code but ensure Engineers can do the same.
As a Software Engineering Manager you manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and help develop your team. Teams work across the company in areas such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large‑scale system design, networking, security, data compression, and user interface design. Operating with scale and speed, our exceptional software engineers are just getting started – and as a manager, you guide the way.
With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, oversee large product budgets, and deploy large‑scale projects across multiple international sites.
The gWindows team owns the product and user experience for Windows at Google, providing tooling and infrastructure that make gWindows useful, supportable, and safe. The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products and drives innovation by building central solutions and strengthening existing systems.
Responsibilities
Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization’s goals, aligning strategy, processes, and decision‑making across teams.
