Position Summary
The Banquet Operations Supervisor is responsible for the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet and club event spaces. This is a hands‑on role that requires a high level of physical activity, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Supervisor ensures all event spaces are properly prepared according to party sheets while supporting overall operational flow.
Experience/Requirements
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Prior banquet, event, or hospitality experience preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Core Responsibilities
Execute and oversee banquet setups according to party sheets, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Set, reset, and break down event spaces efficiently based on event schedules
Lead by example in completing physical setup tasks, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and equipment
Communicate with service staff prior to events to review setup details, timelines, and event expectations
Work closely with the event coordinator to ensure seamless execution of each event
Coordinate with Chef/kitchen on timing, layouts, and equipment
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of all banquet equipment
Ensure all setups meet club standards for presentation and consistency
Assist with training and onboarding new team members on setup procedures and expectations
Gather and prepare equipment for catering out events, verify accuracy against the gather sheet, and attend catering out
Communicate effectively with management and other departments regarding event needs or challenges
Expected to be available during busy periods (which may vary throughout the year), weekends, and operating holidays
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to push, pull, and move heavy equipment (tables, chair carts, etc.)
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods (4-8+ hours)
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Compensation
Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
