Responsibilities
Perform final dimensional and visual inspections for all value streams as well as Receiving Inspection, ensuring incoming parts carry approved documentation and certifications and meet Purchase Order requirements.
Perform in-process and final inspections to verify compliance with drawings, documentation and customer requirements; inspect complex, close-tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies using conventional inspection equipment and tools (CMM, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, optical comparator, height gauges, ring gauges, pin gauges, etc.).
Participate in Quality Problem Resolution, including writing nonconformances and working with the Quality Engineer to implement Corrective Actions.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) and at least two (2) years of inspection experience in Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing in an ISO9001 / AS9100 environment.
Experience interpreting complex engineering part drawings, blueprints, and working with Aerospace Customer Flow Downs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and an ERP system such as SAP. Skilled with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, oscilloscopes, vision systems and other precision instruments.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
Able to work overtime and flexible hours to meet deliverable deadlines.
Required lifting: 35 lbs; lifting frequency: daily. Bend/lift/sit/stand for long periods. Demonstrate good manual dexterity with hand/eye coordination. Must have a minimum of a 20/25 vision (with correction) and pass Ishihara color test and Jaeger Level 1 eye examinations per PACS-PQ-0029.
