Job Description
This Program Manager position is responsible for engineering and technical oversight of assigned capital projects within GPFS. The role involves developing engineering contracts, controlling project design, ensuring compliance with client and industry standards, implementing QA/QC processes, and managing engineering budgets and schedules.
Required Experience
Experience in engineering and technical oversight associated with capital projects, including scoping, study, design, procurement, and construction.
Experience working with engineering contracts, project design control, compliance with industry standards, QA/QC processes, and managing engineering budgets and schedules.
Responsibilities
Hold weekly in‑person or Teams meetings (or more often if needed) to review all projects over the PM and program manager separate to‑do list.
Maintain a log of all engineering milestones to ensure partners and projects in phase one and two track milestones and complete required tasks.
Raise flags early if any milestones are off track.
Facilitate all joint project team meetings for phases 1 and 2, leading discussions with engineering partners.
Ensure all items needed for design packages are submitted in a timely manner.
Serve as the primary liaison between engineering partners and plant engineering teams.
Collaborate with vendor engineering teams to secure required deliverables.
Track engineering purchase orders, keeping budgets on target and alerting partners when costs approach limits.
Notify the PM when invoices are approved and processed swiftly.
Ensure fee evaluations are completed promptly to avoid project delays.
Follow the project tracking methodology used by the PM for RFP packages during phase transitions.
Keep the PM informed of proposal reviews and jointly determine the best partner for each project.
Capture lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
Clean up outstanding design change notice reports from previous program managers.
Respond to emails and calls in a timely manner.
Prioritize communication between the PM and program manager.
Attend all required site visits.
Emphasize safety expectations during meetings.
