Talent Operations Systems Manager

Success Academy Charter Schools, New York, NY, United States

Thanks for your interest in Success Academy! Running a large, fast‑growing, and high‑performing network of public charter schools takes a village – families, children, teachers, staff, advocates, and supporters alike. We are growing rapidly in New York and expanding to Florida, and we would love to welcome you to our community. We work tirelessly to ensure every student has access to a fun, rigorous, whole‑child education regardless of zip code or economic status.

This role follows a hybrid model: based in our New York City office with three days on‑site and two days remote flexibility.

As a Talent Operations Systems Manager, you will be the architect and steward of our talent acquisition ecosystem. You will ensure that people, processes, and technology work in perfect harmony, acting as the strategic bridge between Talent Acquisition, People Technology, HR, and IT to make our global hiring machine efficient, scalable, and data‑driven.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Process Optimization

Act as the primary liaison between Talent Acquisition, People Technology (Workday), HR, and IT to align hiring goals with technical capabilities.

Continuously evaluate the recruiter and candidate experience, identify friction points, and design streamlined processes.

Lead connective‑tissue projects that ensure our TA tech stack—Greenhouse, Gem, GoodTime, and BrightHire—functions as a unified platform.

Systems & Ecosystem Management

Oversee the health of our ATS and surrounding tools, ensuring they meet the team’s evolving needs.

Manage relationships with key technology partners, maximizing ROI and staying ahead of new feature releases.

Partner with IT and Legal to maintain a secure technical landscape, manage permissions, and ensure data flows accurately between HRIS and TA systems.

Project Leadership & Documentation

Lead rollout of new tools or process updates, including training and creation of internal SOPs for team‑wide adoption.

Document operational blueprints, visualizing how data moves across the hiring lifecycle for transparency and easier troubleshooting.

Act as first line of defense for operational bottlenecks, translating technical issues into clear business‑impact updates for leadership.

Qualifications

3+ years in Talent Acquisition Operations or Recruiting Coordination, with a proven track record of improving hiring efficiency.

Advanced proficiency in Greenhouse (or similar enterprise ATS) and ability to configure it to solve business problems.

Experience managing at least one full TA technology implementation from start to finish.

Cross‑functional fluency working closely with HRIS teams (ideally Workday) to manage handoffs from “Candidate” to “Employee.”

Strong project management skills, able to move projects from idea to successful launch.

Excellent communication style, able to translate tech‑speak into plain English for recruiters and leaders.

Curious problem‑solving mindset, digging into the “why” behind process failures to find long‑term solutions.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.

Compensation Range
$135,000 – $155,000 USD
