
Production Supervisor (Night Shift)

Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and productive work environment, following all applicable regulations. Ensure production and quality goals are achieved through teamwork and clear communication. Train and develop operators for success in the above goals and for future opportunities. Create a positive and highly effective working environment based on mutual respect and a shared goal of being the number one supplier to our customers. Establish and maintain a solid working relationship with both internal departments as well as external resources.
Responsibilities
Direct and execute the activities of team members engaged in the production or processing of materials, such as Technical Operators and Sr. Technical Operators
Achieve KPI’s: Production Target Qty, OEE, Yield and Project targets
Manage and enforce safety and other applicable rules and regulations
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activates within or between departments
Plan and manage established work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production and quality goals
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
Make the training plan, schedule and demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new team members, or assign team members to experienced operators for training
Create, update, and maintain Work Instructions, Work Standards, Troubleshooting Guide, Quality Alerts, Change Order, OPL (One Point Lessons) and Visual Standards
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
Confer with management, peers and others to resolve team member’s problems, complaints, or grievances
Interpret and apply company policies and procedures, specifications, blueprints and job orders for team members
Train and mentor other Supervisors (I and II)
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
Perform other duties as assigned
Quality issue monitoring, root cause finding, corrective action implementation
Monitor/manage the SPC, RMS system, QMS NCR and verify the flags
Manage inventory (material, semi-product, product, holding material/product)
Adhere to company, team and safety rules/requirements at all times, including clean room rules and PPE standards
Lead/manage/support/develop various Operators and Technicians
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in operations, Management or related field or with equivalent, relevant experience
Experience
7+ years of experience in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing assembly equipment, including PLC equipment or equivalent relevant experience required
3 to 6+ years of leadership experience
Working experience with PPAP requirements
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost analysis, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Skills
