Job Description
Northrop Grumman Space Sector is looking for a Staff Agile Product Owner to lead a software product team in support of tactical space missions. The role combines technical architecture, program management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver mission‑critical software capabilities.
Responsibilities
Serve as the Product Owner and Principal Investigator of a software development team.
Act as Architectural Lead for a large complex Mod/Sim environment.
Serve as the CAM, maintain budget, and manage staffing plan.
Provide regular briefings to Executive Leadership and Customers.
Coordinate and prioritize the needs of multiple stakeholders across products.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions that meet Government needs across multiple programs.
Own the integrated Product Roadmap, defining software priorities consistent with mission needs.
Iterate Product Roadmap with stakeholders to address evolving priorities.
Decompose stakeholder needs to create, refine, and prioritize the product backlog; support all aspects of backlog refinement and story mapping.
Drive team performance to meet sprint and release commitments, remove impediments, and report progress to senior management.
Engage in Program Increment (PI) Planning Activities; ensure PI objectives reflect customer priorities, identify risks and dependencies across the program.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of experience, or a master’s with 10 years of experience.
Software development experience.
Tactical space mission experience.
1+ years of CAM experience.
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Atlassian Tool suite.
RPO and Space Domain Awareness expertise.
Product Owner experience and certification.
Current SCI clearance.
Mission Planning experience.
Salary
Primary Level Salary Range: $161,000.00 – $241,400.00.
The above salary range represents a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers multiple factors when determining base salary offers, including scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives.
