Onsite, Mebane, NC
Your role and responsibilities
Perform physical pre‑testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validate manufacturing processes.
Execute assigned work according to agreed workflows and ABB standard processes and safety guidelines, and report any non‑compliance.
Assist the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing process.
Inspect and troubleshoot identified issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Maintain accurate testing records, data, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
Qualifications
1+ year of experience in electrical or wiring work or applicable electrical coursework.
Reading and
understanding electrical drawings.
Data analysis and reporting.
Experience with customer relationships.
Experience performing planned maintenance of electrical equipment.
Basic computer knowledge and skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, other hand tools, and electrical current & voltage measurement tools as needed.
Knowledge of voltage, current, resistance, AC/DC electrical circuits.
Ability to safely use a ladder when performing the job, as needed.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
