
Program Assistant

Position Summary
The Program Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support across N7 Foundation initiatives, with a focus on projects related to the Middle East and regional integration. This is an ideal role for candidates seeking hands-on experience in foreign policy, international affairs, and policy research.
The position is in Washington, DC and requires availability during standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complex scheduling and coordinate meetings with U.S. and international stakeholders
Take detailed notes and track follow-ups from high-level policy discussions and convenings
Support planning and execution of events, including roundtables, briefings, and international convenings
Coordinate domestic and international travel logistics, including itineraries and briefing materials
Provide administrative and operational support to senior staff
Conduct background research on Middle East policy, regional integration, and related topics
Contribute to memos, briefing materials, and—where appropriate—independent research projects
Assist with a wide range of tasks in a small-team environment, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, Middle East studies, economics, or a related field
Demonstrated interest in Middle East policy and regional integration
Sharp political acumen and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Professional judgment and discretion, particularly in handling sensitive information
Willingness to work fully in-office in Washington, DC
Ability to travel internationally, as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Prior internship or work experience in a U.S. government agency, Congress, related foreign policy institution or think tank
Familiarity with Middle East regional dynamics and policy issues
Experience supporting events, policy programs, or high-level meetings
Exposure to policy writing, briefing preparation, or research projects
Salary range: $50,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience
