Business Operations Manager
WORK LOCATION: Joint Base San Antonio, TX
JOB STATUS: Full Time; salaried

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Business Operations Manager to support the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, which is part of the USAF Cyber and Networks Directorate (EPASS HN II) contract, and located at Joint Base San Antonio, TX.
Qualifications / Skills
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field.
Years of Experience: At least three years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, three of which must be in the DoD. Four additional years of directly related experience with proper certifications may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101, 20-101, and knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force.
Possess knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs.
Possess knowledge of support activities that assist the program manager in assessing programs against schedule and cost baselines, and be able to recommend viable solutions to problems and pursue alternative courses of action.
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.).
Responsibilities
Assimilate information quickly, communicate effectively, and remain organized to monitor progress toward the accomplishment of various taskings and initiatives.
Use knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management to provide strategic and tactical program planning (short-term, mid-term, and long-term plans).
Carry out program integration tasks such as developing, tracking, and updating integrated roadmaps and schedules for a large, multi-program portfolio.
Work proactively with minimal supervision and effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation.
Use business management experience to track and inform portfolio expenditures, spend plan development, and build documentation to support financial requirements documents and processes.
Use process improvement expertise to inform business operations, human relations, manpower, and internal resource utilization.
Draft documents for the approval and signature of leadership.
Coordinate, document, monitor, and support a variety of meetings and conferences.
