Position Summary
The Endless Aisle Operations Analyst ensures the endless aisle program is operating efficiently, accurately, and cost effectively. The analyst is also responsible for researching, implementing, and monitoring technology improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of Endless Aisle processes. This person works closely with the Endless Aisle team to ensure that vendor shipping performance is measured, policies are adhered to, and reviewed by all parties.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain good relations with suppliers, carriers, internal and external customers.

Collaborate with analysts, specialists, operations, vendors, and carriers to maximize efficiency.

Manage the communication and resolution of tracking and parcel shipments.

Analyze Gordon Food Service purchasing data and make independent decisions regarding freight costing.

Ensure accurate system freight costs through collaboration with other departments and product suppliers.

Review, audit, and reconcile Gordon Food Service’s parcel shipping invoices for Endless Aisle.

Develop reports in support of customer freight audits.

Manage extra inventory to reduce inventory and spoilage.

Report on inventory and spoilage; identify opportunities to reduce.

Manage customer returns and monitor damaged shipments.

Manage RFPs and negotiate with carriers.

Coordinate LTL shipments as needed.

Understand small parcel and freight landscape and its implications on the Endless Aisle business.

Identify, analyze, and recommend diversification opportunities, potential new carriers, and other opportunities to improve the customer experience and/or identify cost savings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Technology and Continuous Improvement

Maintain relationships with third-party software providers.

Manage all automation and technology solutions for the Endless Aisle team.

Collaborate with product management to use customer feedback, research, market, and data analysis to validate product/service technology roadmap direction.

Collaborate daily with cross‑functional teams to solve problems, provide feedback, and accept completed work.

Coordinate communication, training, and change‑management activities.

Support any new enhancements and/or upgrades to systems.

Provide systems support and necessary training for business changes to vendors (e.g., upgrades to systems).

Create and assist with prioritizing outstanding Jira projects.

Develop, monitor, and analyze reporting to gauge the success and impact of strategic initiatives and technology implementations.

Actively seek and pursue opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology enhancements in support of business efficiency and stewardship.

When You Will Work

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office in Wyoming, MI; 1 day remote.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

3+ years of prior food‑service or supply‑chain management experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge of freight costing components including hundredweight (cwt) calculations, line haul, and accessorial expenses.

Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable speaking in front of large groups is a plus.

Ability to prioritize work holistically, considering customer and enterprise needs, not just team needs.

Sharp eye for detail and excellent organization skills.

Self‑directed and takes initiative to solve problems collaboratively and efficiently.

Experience creating charts and graphs in Excel or Google Sheets to show trends.

Ability to juggle multiple initiatives in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment.

Mathematical aptitude; must demonstrate math and accounting skills.

Reasoning ability to compare, contrast, innovate, analyze, coordinate, and develop solutions to complex problems.

Human‑relations skills: teamwork, positive interaction with others, strong relationship‑building, and commitment to customer‑centric values, honesty, and integrity.

Problem‑solving mindset; brings a creative approach to solving problems and presents solutions, focusing on continuous improvement.

Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in supply‑chain management and the food‑service industry.

Experience with Jira or a similar agile planning and tracking tool is a plus.

Proficiency with general office equipment (photocopier, fax, phone, calculator, PC/Laptop, teleconferencing equipment) and Google Apps (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.).

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel: proficient in formulas, pivot tables, macros, and CSV handling.
