Shift Lead (De-railed Diner)

The Shift Lead plays a key role in the daily operations of Derailed Diner. You’ll lead by example, keep the team on track during shifts, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied. You're the go-to person when the manager’s off duty and the one who helps make sure everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise team members during shifts and ensure efficient service
Open and/or close the diner following proper procedures
Ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained
Provide training, guidance, and support to team members
Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
Monitor shift performance and help maintain labor and food cost goals
Assist with inventory checks and restocking as needed
Report shift updates, incidents, or concerns to management
What We’re Looking For:

Previous restaurant or food service experience (leadership experience a plus)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
A positive attitude and team-first mindset
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
