Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Chesapeake, VA. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, and general contracting projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project specifications, analyzing blueprints, preparing proposals, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, and developing detailed project budgets. The Estimator will collaborate with engineering and project management teams to accommodate customer requirements and project objectives.
Qualifications
Strong technical skills in reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
Expertise in cost estimating, budget preparation, and project bidding
Proficiency in construction cost estimating software and tools
Solid understanding of HVAC, electrical, and general contracting fundamentals
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure project accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
Experience in federal contracting and handling sensitive environments is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
Ability to work on-site in Chesapeake, VA with a proactive and team-oriented mindset
