What You’ll Do
As Logistics Supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind our daily distribution operations, leading teams to achieve operational excellence while developing future leaders.

Operational Leadership
Daily Distribution Management

Oversee all distribution center operations, including receiving, picking, loading, shipping, will‑call, and customer service

Ensure efficient workflows, process adherence, accurate inventory control, and optimized productivity metrics

Coordinate daily operations with drivers, warehouse associates, and cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time, accurate delivery

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and space utilization

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma or similar methodologies

Monitor KPIs, analyze performance gaps, and execute corrective action plans

Team Leadership & Development
Talent Management & People Development

Recruit, train, coach, and develop warehouse staff while conducting performance evaluations and ongoing feedback

Establish clear performance standards, accountability, and training programs

Authority to recommend and implement disciplinary actions in partnership with Human Resources

Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence while recognizing high performers and addressing issues promptly

Strategic Planning & Budget Management
Financial & Business Acumen

Assist in annual budget development and manage operational expenses

Analyze operational data to support strategic decision‑making and understand P&L impact

Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising service or quality

Customer Service & Relationship Management
Internal & External Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with customers, sales teams, vendors, and internal departments to ensure satisfaction and on‑time delivery

Resolve customer issues professionally and represent the distribution center in cross‑functional initiatives

Technology & Systems Management
Leverage Technology for Operational Excellence

Utilize ERP, WMS, routing, and voice‑picking systems to manage inventory, orders, and reporting

Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends and operational improvements

Safety & Compliance
Environmental Health & Safety Excellence

Ensure OSHA, hazmat, and company safety compliance while promoting a zero‑incident culture

Conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation

Enforce PPE usage and lead safety initiatives by example

Fleet & Equipment Management
Asset Management & Maintenance

Oversee fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, forklifts, and warehouse equipment

Manage preventive maintenance schedules and ensure efficient equipment utilization

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of logistics or distribution management experience

Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

Proven track record of leading teams in a warehouse or distribution environment

Technical Requirements

Forklift certification (sit‑down, cherry picker, reach truck)

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Infor, SAP, or similar)

Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Understanding of inventory management principles

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures

Capable of standing, walking, and being on the warehouse floor for extended periods

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as operational needs require

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Experience & Skills

Route building/optimization software experience (e.g., Roadnet, Paragon)

Previous fleet management experience with DOT compliance knowledge

Exposure to Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies

Voice‑picking technology implementation or management experience

Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) to effectively communicate with diverse teams

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field

Experience in building materials, lumber, or the wholesale distribution industry

APICS or other supply chain certifications (CSCP, CLTD)

Experience with change management and leading organizational transformations

Work Environment
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Frequent use of hands and feet for grasping, lifting, securing loads, and operating equipment controls

Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.

Frequent pushing and pulling of truck side‑curtain walls and use of winches and ratchet straps for load securement

Continuous standing and walking for most of the shift (often 8–10+ hours)

Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, gripping, and handling materials such as pallets, panels, lumber, straps, and tools

Occasional climbing, squatting, and kneeling to complete assigned tasks

Extended operation of forklifts, including frequent mounting and dismounting during picking, staging, and loading. Forklift operations is permitted only after completion of company‑provided training and OSHA‑required certification

Ability to work at varying heights when placing or retrieving product from racking

Maintain balance, depth perception, and spatial awareness while operating forklifts in tight aisles and around moving equipment

Exposure to bright lights, loud noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures, including hot and cold environments
