is looking for a Quality Coordinator to join our team in our Houston TX location!
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting and advancing quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care and safety across the organization. Under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager, this role coordinates quality assurance activities, including data collection and analysis, performance improvement tracking, regulatory reporting, and staff education. The Quality Coordinator ensures compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and state and federal regulations while serving as a key resource in promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collect, enter, and validate quality and compliance data from multiple departments
Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential electronic and paper filing systems
Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc quality performance reports
Review incident reports, track departmental follow-up, and ensure timely resolution
Coordinate documentation and logistics for audits, surveys, and accreditation readiness activities
Monitor and track progress of action items related to quality improvement projects
Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement
Support development and implementation of corrective action plans in underperforming areas
Provide staff education and training related to quality standards, reporting requirements, and documentation practices
Format, maintain, and update quality documents, forms, and tools in alignment with policy
Participate in department meetings, performance improvement committees, and staff development activities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Solid understanding of healthcare terminology, compliance processes, and quality standards
Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data in support of quality improvement efforts
Effective verbal and written communication across departments and with external agencies
Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to ethical conduct, teamwork, and patient safety
Ability to maintain accurate, confidential records and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree in a health-related or relevant field
Two (2) years of experience in an acute care or public health setting
Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP-CMS) or must be obtained within one year of hire
BLS certified or must obtain certification within 90-days of hire
