Quality Assurance Technician – College Station, TX
Position is located at the College Station facility. The role may be performed on the 2nd shift (1:00 pm–10:00 pm) or the 3rd shift (9:00 pm–6:00 am). The candidate must be able to work flexible hours, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Ensure that the facility and products meet all local and federal food/supplement safety regulations.

Act as a facilitator and coach in Quality Control techniques, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and product quality/safety.

Perform basic raw material management, including receiving, sampling, testing, and shipping.

Sample and analyze raw materials, in‑process goods, and finished products to assure compliance with specifications.

Assist in cleaning validations and line clearances using ATP technologies.

Assist with quality team audits, including Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Record and evaluate test data, alerting the Quality Systems Specialist to any deviations from specifications.

Assist in data collection and analysis for ongoing quality improvements.

Ensure adequate inventory of quality assurance consumables.

Partner with plant operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering to implement GMP, sanitation, and pest‑control programs.

Assist in facility maintenance, general sanitation, pest control, and maintenance to uphold a cGMP facility.

Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering to develop, write, review, and train on Standard Operating Procedures, policies, work instructions, and forms.

Build a strong food‑safety culture, ensure pre‑requisite programs are effective, and facilitate successful customer, regulatory, and certification audits.

Perform document control activities, including issuing, reviewing, and approving batch records, work instructions, logs, shipping documentation, and filing records.

Review and approve laboratory analysis reports for raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods.

Follow and enforce all company GMPs and SOPs.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (minimum).

Preferred: Two years as a quality inspector or technician in a manufacturing environment.

Experience working in an FDA‑regulated environment.

Experience with Federal and State Food Safety Regulations, including HACCP and cGMP.

Experience with food‑safety and defense programs.

Strong leadership and teamwork skills.

Initiative, confidentiality, and ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; legible handwriting required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Problem‑solving abilities and experience in fast‑paced environments.

Results‑driven work ethic and strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Mathematical skills, including probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Physical abilities: lift up to 75 lb, stand for a full shift, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and grasp for varying periods.

Ability to differentiate subtle variances in color.

Ability to drive a forklift.

Must wear a respirator and hearing protection.

Flexible to work nights and weekends.

Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Background check required.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $19.00/hr

Salary range: $45,000–$60,000
