Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service and support to the public. Work in this classification requires an individual to be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Responsibilities
Answer telephones continuously to limit client hold time.
Maintain a database by entering client and/or patient confidential information.
Inform clients and citizens of community and county resources.
Determine eligibility and provide accurate scheduling.
Maintain database by entering and verifying information and input all data into our system to better serve clients.
Answer all inquiries by clarifying desired information.
Maintain absolute confidentiality of work‑related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
One (1) year of clerical and computer experience.
Arizona residents must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License upon hire; newly established Arizona Residents must have one within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English – Spanish).
Knowledge of Business English, spelling, and arithmetic.
Knowledge of clerical and office practices and procedures.
Skill in using data processing systems and other office equipment and machines.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
Physical Demands
The work is sedentary, requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The work also requires the ability to finger, perform repetitive motion, hear, speak, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a dynamic environment that requires the ability to be sensitive to change and responsive to changing goals, priorities, and needs.
Salary
The hiring salary for this position is dependent upon experience, qualifications and position funding; starting salaries above the first quartile require additional approval.
