Position Details
Full‑time and part‑time Floor Technician positions (FLOOR TECHNICIAN) located at MedStar Health MOB – 1133 21st St NW, Washington, MD 20036. Applications accepted online only.
Pay: $18.00 per hour.
Schedule: Full‑time or part‑time schedules, including evening shifts. Hours and days may vary; details provided during interview.
Requirement: Prior floor care experience preferred.
Job Summary
Floor Technician responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment.
Essential Functions
Maintains knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing).
Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
Applies proper procedures on carpet and upholstery (shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.).
Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
