
Behavioral Research Scientist

Basic Qualifications
2 years with BS/BAdegree; or an MS/MA degree.
Experience supporting Army behavioral research projects
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in a Behavioral Science field such as Psychology or Sociology
Former Army field grade officer or Senior non-commissioned officer with relevant advanced degree
Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools/platforms: R, Python, Power Bi, Army Vantage
Peraton is seeking to hire a Behavioral Research Scientist with a well-established applied research program based out of Columbus, GA
Location: Remote role; remote but includes travel up to 25%
This role will be a member of the research team, providing support across multiple projects for the U.S. Army Research Institute (ARI) and other government agencies
Responsibilities
Conduct research using behavioral science principles, methodologies, and technologies in an applied government setting
Collect field data, conduct interviews, enter data, and conduct quality assurance checks on data
Support the development of research results through briefings and technical reports
Work cooperatively with team members to ensure research products' quality, timeliness, and accuracy
Interface with customers and sponsors to meet their requirements, including detailed coordination
Brief Army personnel, observe training events, capture details of training events, and assess training outcomes
Work as part of a team, devise analytical approaches, develop data collection instruments, and collate data from various sources
The successful candidate must be proactive, well-organized, dependable, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision
The position requires a high degree of professionalism, presence, flexibility, judgment, discretion, and the ability to work independently
This position is remote but includes travel up to 25%
