Overview
JOB SUMMARY:

designDATA is seeking a Strategic Technical Advisor to operate at the intersection of sales, strategy, and client executive leadership. This role is responsible for driving new businesses, revenue growth, shaping client technology vision, and serving as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders within our client’s leadership teams. They will lead with insight, influence decision‑making at the highest levels, and ensure technological investments deliver measurable business outcomes. Success in this role is measured by both revenue growth and long‑term client impact.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Drive revenue growth through consultative selling, opportunity development, and expansion of existing client relationships

Serve as a technical advisor and strategic advisor, providing executive‑level technology leadership and direction

Lead discovery engagements and translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies and roadmaps

Own and cultivate executive‑level client relationships, acting as a trusted long‑term partner

Guide client decision‑making by aligning technology solutions with business outcomes and growth objectives

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions are scalable, executable, and successfully delivered

Oversee client engagements to maintain alignment between strategy, execution, and measurable results

Identify opportunities for innovation, optimization, and digital transformation within client environments

Contribute to thought leadership, market positioning, and go‑to‑market initiatives

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Executive presence with the ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders and board‑level conversations

Strong blend of business strategy and technical depth across infrastructure, cloud, security, and operations

Proven consultative sales skills with the ability to uncover needs and close complex deals

Financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, ROI analysis, and value articulation

Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, translating technical concepts into business outcomes

Ability to operate independently while navigating ambiguity and competing priorities

Leadership mindset with a focus on accountability, outcomes, and client success

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years of experience in IT leadership, consulting, or executive‑level roles

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable experience

Demonstrated experience in client‑facing, revenue‑generating roles

Background in developing and executing technology strategies across industries

Experience working in a consulting, MSP, or professional services environment preferred

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
