
Highway Bridge Project Manager

Responsibilities
Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects.
Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff.
Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance the planning team throughout the entire project’s development.
Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort to ensure completion within agreed parameters of schedule.
Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice.
Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure document completion on schedule.
Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable‑stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway projects.
Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, perform structural load calculations, and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
Review, assign work, and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.
Mentor younger staff and support continued development.
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering.
A minimum of 2 years project management experience.
PMP certification.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA.
Experience mentoring junior staff.
Proficiency with seismic design and detailing of bridges.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
7 years related experience inclusive of a minimum of 2 years in project management.
Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng)).
MS Office and MS Project experience required.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
