Position Overview
A well‑established electronics manufacturing organization in Camarillo is seeking an experienced Buyer to support procurement activities for complex electronic products. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring uninterrupted support for production and engineering initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Procure electronic components, fabricated parts, and subcontracted services to support production schedules
Manage supplier communication related to pricing, delivery commitments, order acknowledgments, and expediting
Analyze material requirements and partner with Engineering on part substitutions or alternates when required
Maintain accurate open order reporting and validate purchase order details against internal planning systems
Support material review activities, including supplier returns and corrective actions
Coordinate with Accounting to resolve pricing or invoicing discrepancies
Work closely with Warehouse and Inventory teams on incoming material verification, cycle counts, and stock levels
Provide general purchasing and supply chain support as assigned
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of electronics purchasing experience within the last 5 years
Experience must include
electronic components (e.g., PCBs, BGAs, power devices, transformers)
and
metal fabrication
Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers
Strong analytical skills related to demand planning, material timing, and order quantities
Familiarity with
MRP/ERP systems
Experience with
consignment programs
preferred
Proficiency in
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Requirements
Ability to perform essential physical functions, including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 25 lbs as needed
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
This role operates in an
ITAR‑regulated environment ; candidates must be
U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents
Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours, with flexibility for additional hours as required

High School Diploma or GED

APICS (CPM)
certification
Compensation
$75,000 - $95,000 annually , based on experience, skills, internal equity, and market factors.
