Customer Supply Chain Administrator
Position location: Flexible; may work from any branch in the USA.
Part‑time shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; 20–28 hours per week.
Overview
Working as a Part‑time Customer Supply Chain Administrator, you will engage in a variety of activities to support our customers’ supply chain through establishing best practices. The responsibilities focus on customer service, supply chain, data analysis, and operations. In this role, you will complete formal Request for Quotes (RFQs) that require understanding customer prints and collaborating closely with sales, engineering, suppliers/manufacturers and customers.
Responsibilities
Participating in the implementation of new business processes
Sourcing, quoting and purchasing new and existing products
Working closely with Fastenal Sales Teams, Product Development Teams, Manufacturers and Customers
Responding and coordinating resources relative to customer requests
Performing inventory fulfillment functions such as placing and fulfilling orders
Monetizing and reporting the value of supply chain management activities to the customer and to internal stakeholders
Supporting and participating in continuous improvement activities
Supporting inventory optimization projects
Required Position Qualifications
18 years of age or older
Degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or related field, or equivalent industry experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Comfortable in a customer service and sales‑oriented environment
Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
Strong problem‑solving, deductive reasoning and decision‑making skills
Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam only)
Preferred Position Qualifications
Prior experience in sales
Product knowledge in MRO, OEM, Construction or related industrial fields
Current full valid driver’s license issued in the country where the job is located; meeting the company’s driving record requirements

Pay range: $17/hr to $23/hr.
