Preventive Maintenance Technician

U-HAUL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
U-Haul is seeking skilled technicians to perform preventive maintenance on Ford and GMC trucks, ensuring our fleet stays in top condition.
Primary Responsibilities
Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
Perform tire and brake maintenance.
Occasionally road‑test vehicles.
Use a proprietary electronic pre‑inspection checklist.
Assist with additional duties as directed by a supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
Driver’s license.
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Basic computer skills.
Regular attendance.
Work Environment
The role involves manual labor, requiring work while alert at all times. Protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (assisted or unassisted) and frequently move, stand, sit, and work beneath equipment.
