
Warehouse Operations Supervisor

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role leads a team of warehouse associates and coordinates inbound, outbound, and inventory processes within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and returns
Ensure on-time and accurate order fulfillment aligned with customer requirements
Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and productivity to meet operational KPIs
Coordinate with transportation, customer service, and inventory control teams
Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff (pickers, packers, forklift operators)
Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate performance expectations
Enforce company policies, SOPs, and safety procedures
Manage attendance, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Inventory & Quality Control
Ensure accurate inventory transactions and cycle counts
Maintain compliance with client-specific requirements (including cGMP, FDA, or food-grade standards when applicable)
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety programs
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment
Conduct safety audits and incident investigations
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse (5S standards)
Systems & Reporting
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting
Monitor KPIs such as productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipping
Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
3–5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience
1–2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
Experience in 3PL or high-volume distribution environment preferred
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, or similar)
Understanding of inventory control and warehouse processes
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations
Experience with forklifts, RF scanners, and material handling equipment
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in South Florida markets
