Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 am–4:00 pm. No weekends. No holidays. No Call.
Role Summary
Medical Imaging Nurse (RN). The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and identifies nursing problems as they relate to patient needs. Plans individualized patient care with an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities and coordinates care that aligns with the hospital’s mission and vision.
Responsibilities
Act as charge nurse when applicable; manage day-to-day activities to ensure quality patient care.
Make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and staff skill; serve as a clinical resource for staff.
Respond promptly to information requests or follow-up with physicians, staff, or patients.
Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, treatment, and care appropriate to the ages served as per Scope of Service.
Promote customer service initiatives.
Utilize nursing process for individualized patient care to meet needs of patients.
Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
Document all patient care in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(RN) Registered Nurse
Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
2 years experience in critical care required (ICU, ER, PACU)
Moderate sedation experience required
