
Machine Tender - 2nd shift

Responsibilities
Feed raw materials into the machine in a timely and consistent manner
Pack finished goods according to quality and production standards
Monitor product flow to prevent jams, slowdowns, or material shortages
Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the shift
Respond appropriately to machine alerts and safety stops
Help minimize downtime by proactively identifying issues
Follow all safety procedures and protocols at all times
Assist in keeping the machine running efficiently by replenishing materials such as glue, water, and other required supplies
Make minor adjustments to support consistent run rate and quality
Train under the Machine Operator to learn machine setup and shutdown procedures, as well as basic set up and operation
Develop understanding of machine functions, materials, and production flow
Progress toward independent operation readiness
Ensure all materials are staged and available at the machine prior to and during production
Support line clearance and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Line Clearance (LC) logs
Read and understand job instructions and assist in verifying correct materials are used
Verify customer samples are present and that first piece approval matches the sample
Assist in obtaining sign-off on first piece approval by supervisor
Support or assist with quality pulls per SOP
Follow customer-specific requirements for manufacturing, quality, and shipping
Assist in training helpers, as needed
Report any unclear or conflicting information to the department supervisor
Assist in inputting load counts into Material Handling system and generate correct load tags
Ensure all loads contain Material Handling load tag
Assist in requesting labels from shipping and apply to cartons if required
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
Identify and report defects or inconsistencies
Support corrective actions to maintain product quality
Perform any other duties as required
Qualifications
Required
Strong attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and move materials as needed
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Understanding operations and programming of 3 axis articulating arms
