Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive speech‑language pathology evaluations for residents in a long‑term care setting
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing needs
Provide direct therapy sessions within the assigned schedule; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team (nursing, rehabilitation, social work) to align goals and optimize resident care
Educate residents and families on strategies to improve communication effectiveness and safe swallowing, and provide discharge planning input as appropriate
Requirements

Willingness to commit to an 11‑week travel assignment with 35 hours per week guaranteed
Ability to work in a long‑term care setting with adult residents
Strong communication and documentation skills; reliable and professional
Eligibility to practice Speech‑Language Pathology in the United States with Maryland licensure or active Maryland licensure preferred
Comfortable working a standard daytime schedule and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
