As a Physical Therapist, you will perform supervisory duties and evaluations on patients and help them improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, while also teaching them to compensate for permanent loss of function in daily living and working environments, in accordance with Concentra Medical Centers’ Injury Process Management and rehabilitation philosophy in occupational medicine.
Responsibilities
Ensure delivery of high quality patient care services
Perform direct patient care, including evaluation of muscle, skeletal, neurological and other physical problems
Support and encourage multidisciplinary coordination of treatment
Ensure proper documentation of patient care
Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies and procedures, applicable regulations and corporate policies
Implement effective communication with own and other departments' staff, with medical staff and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and higher quality service
Demonstrate effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
Inform Administrator of department problems, needs and solutions in a timely manner
Plan, design, implement and interpret physical therapy treatment programs to facilitate recovery and maximize physical potential
Educate patients in the proper care and use of supports and exercise programs
Perform or delegate patient treatment including modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training and hydrotherapy
Follow appropriate documentation and reporting procedures
Secure prescription for each patient treated
Work closely with the physician to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care
Assist marketing staff with tours as necessary
Take necessary precautions to protect center assets and property
Participate in professional development by attending center meetings and outside educational seminars
Communicate with Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager for each patient
Report patient objective progress, program compliance, attendance, and estimated discharge timeline
Participate in clinical instruction of university occupational therapy and/or occupational therapy assistant students
Participate in evaluating the effectiveness of rehabilitation quality management and assist in process improvements
Ensure compliance with licensing, certification and accreditation rules
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Master’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, preferred
Orthopedic outpatient experience, preferred

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $55.00 to $58.00 hourly depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law, such as level of experience and geographic location.
