Position
Commercial Tire Service Technician (Service Truck Operator/Commercial Tire Service Tech) – Immediate openings in Gilroy. Experience is required.
Responsibilities
Sales and service of large truck and OTR tires.
Installation and repair of tires both at the shop and on-site with our mobile service truck.
Safely transport customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or corporate office using the company vehicle.
Operate company vehicle safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws.
Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles ethically following company and state guidelines.
Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
Perform oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Observe general vehicle condition during basic services and point out needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager, documenting via Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order.
Maintain cleanliness of the shop, service area, tire racks, showroom, and outside building.
Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Qualifications
Previous automotive experience preferred; service truck/commercial tire experience required.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including weekends.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation ranges from $25–$30/hr, with bonus opportunities.
