
Maintenance Tech

Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, repairs, and maintenance of a variety of hotel systems and equipment. You may work on a team or alone and must observe all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
Recognize, report, and correct potential safety hazards (broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile floor maintenance and repairs.
Complete painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects.
Repair pool and exercise room equipment when necessary.
Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and management team to identify and accomplish all technical and skilled‑related projects.
Prepare all necessary reports during each shift for the management team.
When required, report to the hotel in bad weather conditions for maintenance of the hotel’s exterior (snow shoveling, ice melting, etc.).
Flexible scheduling availability may be required.
Job Requirements
Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
Effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
Ability to work well in stressful situations.
Ability to complete work orders on a timely basis.
Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service.
Willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice.
Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for extended periods. Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work hours are variable and are based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
