About the position
GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for a Welder II to join our Production Team.

Work involves manufacturing complex custom packages, heat exchangers, vessels, and standard vessels, heat exchangers, compressor packages, with responsibilities including assembling, welding, installing components, training less experienced employees, and performing tasks according to specifications and budgets.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Perform all operations in the manufacture of custom packages, heat exchangers, and vessels to required specifications and budgets.

Assemble and weld sub‑assembly parts, internal and external parts, water boxes, tube‑to‑tube sheet, and sub‑arc tube sheets.

Install package components and assemble weld and install system piping.

Assist in training less experienced employees.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Perform all operations in the manufacture of standard separators, receivers, and heat exchangers to required specifications and budgets.

Assemble, weld, and install sub‑assembly parts; weld internal and external parts; install heads and sub‑arc; assemble and weld supports, legs, and angles; assemble and weld water boxes.

Perform all operations in the manufacture of standard compressor packages to required specifications and budgets.

Assemble and weld sub‑assembly parts; install package components; assemble weld and install system piping.

Assist in training less experienced employees.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile and Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.

Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred.

Minimum Experience: 3+ years in lieu of a vocational degree/certificate in structural or pipe welding.

Ability to qualify in a 6G test for MIG, pulse, and TIG pipe welding.

Basic math skills.

Basic blueprint reading.

Basic fabrication skills.

Comprehension of safety rules.

Physical ability to sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on a concrete surface.

Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.

Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate tools and/or machinery.

Pay and Benefits
The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $24.00 - $32.00 per hour. Additional rewards may include discretionary bonuses and/or equity awards.
